You can carry the instruments as carry-on baggage under the size of the musical instruments before reaching the airport. Small instruments such as violin can fit within the allowance. How to Add More Baggage on Emirates?

You can add more baggage to your booking using the Manage Booking tool or call the baggage team. Emirates allows you to purchase additional bags up to three hours before departure.

  • You can browse the official website of Emirates and then go to the Manage Booking section.  
  • From that, mention the details for logging in to manage my booking.
  • Now, choose “Purchase Additional Baggage” from the menu section. 
  • Then, depending on the destination, the section will show the excess baggage allowance.
  • Now, enter the number of bags with weight and size to add.
  • You must pay the excess baggage fee. 
  • After the payment, you can check the e-mail for updated itineraries.

  • However, you can call the helpline number.
  • While the call connects to the executive, you can ask the agent to add baggage to the booking.
  • Now, share the flight information with the executive.
  • The agent will ask about the number of bags you want to add to the journey. 
  • After confirming the details, the executive will add the baggage to your booking.
